Catch the Vision
Dear OSL Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Hope has eyes. It sees a glorious future for OSL and it is full of His power! With your help and support, He will open the door to miracles in the midst of any trials and difficulties we face. Unfortunately, we are in the midst of a storm that threatens OSL’s very existence – just when OSL’s presence in the Christian Healing ministry is needed most.
What many of you may not know is that OSL’s operating budget is directly tied to the dues generated from memberships. A tightly managed operating budget that employs a small staff, creates printed educational and instructional materials, maintains a website and creates a bimonthly magazine.
Beginning in 2005, OSL membership began to drop and has steadily decreased each year. Members did not renew their OSL memberships and fewer new members chose to join. Today, OSL now has 30% less members than we had in 2005! You can see the financial problem we face if membership continues to decline at this rate without other sources of financial support.
But OSL’s mission in this world is not over. OSL is a miracle-believing, miracle-working, hope-filled instrument of GOD! There is a renewed sense of purpose and vision, from the dedicated prayer warriors in each Chapter and Region to an active Board of Directors who are visioning new ways to revitalize and strengthen OSL!
You Can Shape the Future of OSL!
This is a season that calls us to prepare for our mission ahead. It is time to look into our hearts and minds and ask ourselves, “How are we advancing the Kingdom of God and His vision of healing?” I believe God has a vision and a specific mission for the future of OSL. I believe he is giving us Kingdom Vision to see how each of us can and will shape the future of this very important healing ministry. We are living in a world with billions of people in pain, despair and no relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. This is our Clarion Call to serve! There is much healing work to do!
It’s time to Catch the Vision for a renewed OSL! Let me share my hope with you. I believe OSL is growing with an infusion of God’s power as he refreshes us and makes us new again. The work is already beginning and we are seeing many of you joining together with renewed vigor and passion!
