Message From the Director

The Reverend Dr. Jack Sheffield and his wife, Anna Marie, live in San Antonio, Texas. He became North American Director (Interim) in June 2011.

 

Jesus told us that the kingdom of God is near to us – even in the midst of us. He also commanded us to heal the sick and make the wounded whole. We exist to do His works, for the works of Jesus destroy the works of the devil. The goodness and mercy of the Lord absolutely paralyzes evil! We, His people, are invited to embody His purpose and His joy!
There have been healing ministers in OSL for almost eighty years, and we are just getting warmed up! We have an ecumenical Spirit in our fellowship of love and mercy that encompasses all Christians. Our desire is simple. We want to belong to Jesus and to honor Him in our faithfulness and obedience to His word. We take Jesus at His word that He is our healer.
What does OSL do? We raise up chapters of healing teams and centers of healing in strategic locations around the globe. We train our people and equip them for the ministry of restoring everything God wants His creation to be. Our training is par excellence. We hold the best conferences anywhere, with the purpose of encouraging and empowering Christians to embody the Gospel of Freedom! People come from many nations to learn how Jesus sets the captives free from sickness, oppression and despair. The dream is to see transformed people make whole their families, churches, cities and nations. We call it the “Grand Adventure” and we invite you to join us!
One of the greatest joys in my life has been my work in OSL and the Healing Ministry. I have been a member since 1993 and served as an OSL Chapter Chaplain, Region 5 Director and now as North American Director (Interim). Anna Marie and I founded Deep River Ministries and Christ Healing Center in San Antonio, Texas. Throughout my years associated with OSL, I have never known a finer group of people and have witnessed God’s amazing power to heal! Catch the vision of OSL and join us.
